Tammy-Anne Fortuin is a multifaceted performer and filmmaker with a BFA in Filmmaking from the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles and an Acting Conservatory background from the same institution in New York.
As an actor, her recent film credits include Love is Brewing, Sabotaging the Squad, Her Study of a Killer, and A Nurse’s Revenge. Beyond the screen, Tammy is a seasoned voice-over artist with an extensive portfolio in commercials and audio productions. Notably, she lent her voice to Audible’s 2022 narrative podcast The Prophecy—starring Kerry Washington and Laurence Fishburne—as well as Spotify’s Electric Easy, featuring Kesha.
Before moving to the United States to pursue her film studies, Tammy had a 10-year career in the South African film and television industry, where she produced, hosted, and co-hosted prime-time television shows. Notably, she led Roer! (a lifestyle cooking show on kykNET) and All Access (a magazine-style program on M-NET), both of which became double SAFTA winners (South African Film and Television Awards) in their respective categories.
After graduating, she gained extensive experience as a producer, production manager, and 1st assistant director on a variety of independent films. She describes these roles as instrumental in her ability to deliver productions on time and under budget. Tammy's diverse body of work as a director and writer has been recognized at global film festivals with notable projects, including Meeting Jenny, Aimee, and It’s Time. As a producer, she has worked on several high-profile music videos, including collaborations with The Black Eyed Peas, featuring artists such as Saweetie, Lele Pons, and Anitta.
Tammy was born in Paarl, South Africa, and continues to work primarily out of Los Angeles and New York.
